Marked trails

Cross-country skiing exploded during the 2020/2021 winter season. It allowed skiers to get their dose of pleasure despite the lifts being closed. And to begin to enjoy having to make an effort to ascend to really appreciate the descent. So, what’s the key to attaching climbing skins to your skis without being an expert? Resorts providing groomed cross-country trails to ‘start off on the right ski’. These trails have attracted many people looking for ways to keep in shape while enjoying the outdoors. Because cross-country skiing is an excellent cardio workout!

SKI WITH THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT AND A GUIDE

Sports shops have everything needed for rental: skis, boots, climbing skins, poles, etc. And don’t forget the safety gear: an avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe.

Even if some trails are open to the public, it’s always a good idea to hire a professional to teach you safety rules and how to use the equipment. You can also begin with a group outing or private classes.
