Between the Savoie and Haute-Savoie—from Aix-les-Bains to Annecy passing through Chambéry, Montmélian, and Albertville—the Véloroute crosses the piedmont plains of the Massif des Bauges Natural Park (a UNESCO Geopark). It’s a quintessential cycling paradise in the heart of the mountains.  

Amidst the lakes, countryside, and vineyards, with a mountainscape backdrop, the route is punctuated the entire way with natural, cultural, and gastronomic gems to be discovered at your own pace.

The Tour des Bauges can be done by anyone—with family, friends, or that special someone—on the saddle of a classic bike or pedelec.

All along the way, the beaches, French ‘Towns and Lands of Art and History’, villages, vineyards, nature reserves, restaurants, and artists’ workshops are excellent reasons to stop and discover the multiple riches found in the area.

 From Lyon and Grenoble, take the train to either Aix-Les-Bains, Chambéry, Montmélian, Albertville, or Annecy depending on what you want to do and from where you want to leave. This easy-to-reach access allows you to divide the route into several steps and do it at your own pace.
