Day 1 Climbing school
Departure from Chamonix for the Gaillands crag, an ideal site for a gentle start. Learn rock climbing techniques: roping, belaying and belaying. Lead climbing or top-roping as you wish.
Equipment required for this day: climbing shoes, harness and helmet.
Day 2 Ice school
First approach or review: learning the various techniques specific to glacier terrain: classic 10-point cramponing, roped progression, belaying.
Equipment required for this day: mountain boots, harness, helmet, crampons and ice axe.
Day 3 Day trip
It's time to put what you've learned in the previous days to good use! The destination will be chosen with your guide according to the group's objectives and current mountain conditions. Examples: Pointe Lachenal (3,613m), Traversée des Aiguilles Crochues (2,840m).
Equipment you'll need for the day: your guide will tell you what equipment you'll need, depending on the type of climb you'll be doing.
Day 4 Race from Pointe Helbronner to Torino hut for the night
You'll be plunged into the heart of the high mountains! The area offers a wide choice of varied routes. The night at the Torino hut (3,371m) will also be a time of convivial exchange with your guide. Example routes: Aiguilles Marbrées (3,535m), Petit Flambeau (3,440m).
Equipment required: mountain boots, harness, helmet, crampons and ice axe.
Day 5 Race from Torino hut
Last day after a night at over 3,300m! Example routes: Aiguilles Marbrées (3,535m), Petit Flambeau (3,440m).
