Since the foundation of the parish around 1100, the church has been dedicated to Ste Marie Madeleine and Sainte Foy. Rebuilt in 1719 and rebuilt in 1729, the church then suffered damage and degradation, both by landslides in the basement and by its use as housing for the revolutionary troops. After several unsuccessful consolidation operations, the church had to be closed to worship in 1922. Built in 1935, the penultimate church had to be completely replaced by the current building in 1970.
