The footpath sets off from the Avoriaz Plateau with quite a step climb (70m uphill) up onto the Avoriaz ridge.
1-Near by the Cascade des Brochaux, catch the Mossettes chairlift. At the top of the chairlift (2277m) you will be in Switzerland (yellow footpath signs). Walk down towards the Lac Vert (1972m) and the "refuge" (40min). You might bump into the local shepherd with his flock of sheeps.
2-From the lake, walk up to the Col de Chésery (1992m) which marks the French-Swiss border. From the pass, follow the GR5 track to the Col de Rochasson (watch out for mountain bikers.)
3-At the connection with Chaux Fleurie (1805m altitude marker) leave the trail going up to Rochassons and fork left towards Lécherette and Lindarets. The footpath crosses a small stream then continues in wide loops down to Lécherette.
