To reach the Balastière, you can
- leave the car at the Perrey car park at the Landry white water base and then go up the Isère on the greenway that runs alongside it
- come on foot from Landry by the pastoral track which starts from the playground in the north of the village. Cross the bridge, go down along a sheepfold, cross the bridge over the railway.
- Park directly at the Balastière: departmental road between Landry and Hauteville-Gondon. After the bridge, at the Villard, go down along the Bergerie, cross the bridge over the railway.
From the orchard to the museum: follow the railway line to the north-east from the orchard entrance. The track goes down towards the full, then crosses under the railway at the Petit Gondon village (Chapelle Ste Agathe). Go back a few dozen metres to the south to take the path that climbs to the small Chal where the museum is located.
