The first objective is the Col d'Arves, where benches and an orientation table have been thoughtfully installed. We haven't yet left civilisation, but we can already contemplate a magnificent landscape.
As we continue on our way, we find ourselves in an alpine atmosphere. The animals that come to feast on the high-altitude grass don't seem to be bothered by the steep incline and stroll leisurely from flower to flower.
But isn't that a goat you see over there? No, it's its cousin the chamois, which also roams the grassy slopes.
The summit offers a fantastic view of the Aiguilles d'Arves, the Etendard and the Grand Agnelin... But the show isn't over yet.
On the way down, what a surprise to see these strange pointed caps! These are the famous fairy chimneys, magical aerial stone sculptures that dot the Combe Génin.
Keep your eyes peeled for more wonders on the way back...
