The departure in the heart of the authentic village of Manigod, offers you the opportunity to admire its typically mountain built heritage, including the Baroque Church of Saint Pierre de Manigod.
Between chalets, wooden log staircases and Bachal carved stones, the route quickly climbs to the heights of the village, gradually reaching beautiful landscapes of pastures to the place called the Walls.
During the walk, you can enjoy magnificent views of the peaks of the Aravis chain.

This small walk will take you among the cottages typical of the Aravis of the village resort of Manigod. Between pastures and hamlets, the route offers several views of the Sulens massif, the Charvin, the Tournette and the valley below.

1/ From the parking lot, return to the departmental road at the foot of the church and go left towards the Walls. At the crossing, continue straight ahead and always follow the direction 'Les Murailles par Champ Roz'. The road turns into a gravel track and descends a little. After the Chalet des Arolles, do not miss the path with wooden log steps that goes up to the right (beacon). Pass to the first chalet of Champ Roz, then join the second chalet above.
2/ Turn right to reach, at the level of the hedge, an old rural gravel road that climbs straight up the slope. You quickly reach a small road that you follow to the right to reach Les Murailles
3/ Continue straight towards '' Manigod par Péroset ''. After about 200 m, turn left uphill on the white gravel road. In the hairpin, go right by the path in grass (marker) then in pebbles, which will lead you to Peroset. Cross the hamlet to the power station.
4/ Go down to the right along the house towards Manigod, by wooden steps. The path goes on the right across. Follow the signposts which, through the fields, leads you to a small road in the Neisieux. Cross it, go down in front, then go down immediately to the left before the chalet passing a small wooden gate. Go down the wooden steps and follow the signposting through fields and cottages to reach Manigod. At the road, turn left and join the parking lot of the church.

Annecy – Manigod: 27 km. From Annecy, take the D909 to Thônes. In Thônes, take the D16 to Manigod and park in the church car park.
