Set off on an adventure from the campsite parking lot and plunge into the heart of the Chartreuse countryside. Your hike begins near the Coopérative laitière (where you'll find delicious produce for your picnic!), where you follow a path that joins the road to the hamlet of Les Bessons. Here, the road again becomes a path, leading you to the picturesque village of Désert d'Entremont. The landscape opens out onto the Hauts de Chartreuse Nature Reserve. Enjoy the magnificent panorama: from Mont Granier in the north, with its impressive cliffs, to the Dent de Crolles in the south, with the cliffs of Mont Outheran behind you. When you reach the cross-country skiing hostel, the descent awaits! You pass through the charming hamlet of La Réduire, then take the road to Les Martenons. Continue your exploration by taking the path on the left, leading to the hamlet of Plan Martin.
At the entrance to the hamlet, head towards Entremont le Vieux. Once on the road, gently descend to the heart of the village, where you turn right towards the welcoming Auberge des Entremonts, returning to your starting point at the parking lot.

Signs
Departure Signs are in place in the villages near the car parks and the places open to the public. To follow your itinerary, poles are in place at the junctions and identifiable by a sign with the name of the walk and the altitude. Between two poles, you will find marked sign made with painting all along the way, it indicates if you must follow the path or not. Pay also attention to small signs to guide you. We recommend to have the map Promenades et randonnées en Chartreuse" with you.
1/ From the campsite parking lot, cross the road to the Ici en Chartreuse dairy cooperative. Take the yellow-marked path up to the right of the building. The path returns to the road for a few meters. 2/ At the intersection, turn right into the hamlet of Les Bessons. The road becomes a footpath again, as far as the village of Désert d'Entremont. In the village, follow the road up to the right. Continue for around 500m. 3/ At the large hairpin bend and “Foyer de ski de fond” sign, take the right-hand track (red and yellow markings) to the next “Le Plan du Bois” sign. 4/ From here, take the yellow-marked path downhill to the right. The path leads into the hamlet of La Réduire and then along the road to Les Martenons. At the last houses, the path turns left again to the hamlet of Plan Martin. 5/ At the sign at the entrance to the hamlet, turn right along the path, again signposted in red and yellow, to the village of Entremont le Vieux. Once on the road, follow it down to the village center and turn right towards the Auberge des Entremonts to find the parking lot.
