Nature and Heritage:
Nestled near the chalets, the Lac de Petétoz is certainly worth the detour. Venture into the forest and fall under the spell of this magical and enchanting setting… you may well spot deer, hare and even chamois perched on the ridges which peek through the trees around the lake.

Route details:
From Torchon cable car park (village of La Chèvrerie), go over the bridge and veer right.
Take an immediate left towards La Joux chalets for fantastic views of the Roc d'Enfer (2240m).
Continue for approximately 50m then turn right onto a path into the forest (yellow markings) to the first platform.
Continue along the forest footpath and a narrow little path will take you to a second platform. Next follow a wide path to the Petétoz chalets.
Go back to your starting point on the same route or follow this variation: when you get back to the first main platform, take the forest path on your right (additional 30 minutes).
