1./ DEPARTURE FROM THE OLYMPIQUE CABLE CAR
Take the Olympique cable car up free of charge. At the top, turn left, take the stairs and follow the yellow signs for "Val d'Isère par la Banane".
2/ LOYES CHAIRLIFT
At the Loyes chairlift, turn right at the yellow sign. Continue straight ahead, keeping your eyes peeled for the Charvet rock. Don't miss the Solaise massif, the Leissières ridge and the Iseran on your left.
3./ FONTAINE FROIDE CHAIRLIFT
Continue towards the Fontaine Froide chairlift. Once you reach the start of the Fontaine Froide lift, turn left towards the Santons piste. Follow the signs for "Val d'Isère par la Banane". Watch out for mountain bikers sharing the path!
4./ VIEW OF THE MANCHET VALLEY
The Manchet valley is one of the gateways to the Vanoise National Park. There are some lovely walks to be discovered in this valley.
5./ TURN RIGHT
At the crossroads, turn right to avoid the start of the Loyes chairlift.
You can also see the Pointe du Front, the Becca Blanche and the Pointe de la Bailletaz.
6./ ENTERING THE FOREST
After a few minutes you will begin to enter the forest, always follow the yellow signs. Continue on this gradual downhill path for about 5 minutes. You're almost there!
7./ TURN LEFT
Follow the road for 200 metres and you will come to the hamlet of Joseray. The village centre is a 15-minute walk away via the Rue du Cachey and the green frontage where the Route de la Balme starts.
