    Departure: Château des Rubins car park
    1. approach the Château des Rubins and go up the stairs to reach the entrance to the castle
    2. going slightly up the road passing in front of the castle, turn left to follow the small path, marked "U" on the low wall
    3. follow this path through the undergrowth which winds along the beginning of the hillside
    4. after 10-15 minutes of walking you arrive under the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception
    This chapel can only be visited on request, however you can have some explanations at the tourist office)
    5. a bench is installed for a contemplative stopover in this beautiful haven of peace
    6. to return to the starting point you have the choice of going back down the same route or returning in a loop via the road which allows a beautiful panoramic view of the city with its monuments (Tours de la Frasse and Disonche as well as the bell tower of the St Jacques collegiate church) and Mont-Blanc in the background
    7. go back up the road above the chapel, then go down this road to the right until the intersection with the Doran road
    8. then turn right to take this Doran road which goes down
    9. Arriving at the intersection between the Route des Paccots and the Route de St Roch, observe the magnificent panorama of the town between the 2 towers: the Tour de la Frasse on the left and the Tour de Disonche on the right, with the bell tower of the St Jacques collegiate church and the Mont-Blanc massif in the background.
    10. go down that Doran road behind the church
    11. Passing in front of the St Jacques Collegiate Church, listed as a Historic Monument since 1974, you can stop to visit it (visits are organized on request by our Heritage guides; the tourist office can provide you with more information on the subject)
    12. continue the road in front of the church then turn right to pass the children's play area, the media library and then return to your starting point.
    13.. We recommend a visit to the Château des Rubins to deepen your knowledge of the mountain.
