From the P2 car park, follow a forest track to the Echaillon car park (1h15) then continue on the forest road towards the hamlet of Echaillon and continue to the listed hamlet of "Le Monal". Same route for the return.

For the more sporty, head for the Monal directly from the Sainte Foy resort. The reward will be even better.
