1./ DEPARTURE FROM CRÊT
Follow the "Chemin des Coves" for 200 metres towards the Rocher de Bellevarde, then turn left before starting the climb. You will pass over a rocky section, a rope is provided to help you.
2/ LOYES CHAIRLIFT
At the Loyes chairlift, turn right at the yellow sign. Keep going straight ahead and keep your eyes peeled for the Charvet rock. Don't miss the Solaise massif, the Leissières ridge and the Iseran on your left.
3./ STEEP SLOPE
Follow the blue markings on the rocks to stay on the path. Then continue towards "Val d'Isère par la Boucle du Cairn" as indicated on the yellow signs. Keep your eyes peeled for the surrounding peaks!
4./ START OF THE DESCENT
Take the path on the right to start the descent. To stay in the forest, turn right. At the end of the descent, turn left to go along the top of the village.
5 / TURN RIGHT
At the crossroads, turn right to avoid the start of the Loyes chairlift.
You can also see the Pointe du Front, the Becca Blanche and the Pointe de la Bailletaz.
6./ CONTINUE STRAIGHT ON
Continue in the same direction, following the yellow signs. There are picnic tables along the way, so take the opportunity to have a break.
7/ YOU'VE ARRIVED!
You've come full circle, you've reached the end of the Cairn loop.
