Vulbens church

We are here in front of a religious building dating from the 15th century, rebuilt in 1820. This parish church, dedicated to St Maurice, displays in the interior his painted portrait (1898) as well as that of St François de Sales.

Until the 17th century, the parish of Bans existed on the banks of the Rhône, made up of 3 small hamlets, Moisset, Collogny and Bans. When the latter village disappeared, the places known as Collogny and Moissey were associated with the parish of Vulbens. Did you know that the current bell tower of the church came from the old chapel of the Templars of Collogny?
