The village of Duingt is without a doubt one of the most beautiful villages of Lake Annecy, with a rich and passionate history.
The Château on the peninsula is the most ancient of the three Châteaus of Duingt.
Châteauvieux was built around the 11th-12th century on an island, and the ruins of the tower we can barely see through the vegetation were actually part of the second château built in the 13th century.
There is a third château, Héré Château (from the Renaissance period) that can be seen on the climb up to Entrevernes.

You'll be taken aback by the somewhat unknown medieval heritage of Duingt, set in a natural environment that seems to come straight out of a Cézanne painting. The narrow streets will lead you to two viewpoints, one at Notre Dame du Lac cave and the other one at the old graveyard.
