Like a mysterious voice whispering the names of the mountains from over your shoulder, this larger-than-life viewpoint indicator is a great antidote to a stiff neck.

Facing Mont Blanc just an arm's length away, the panoramic view of the French Alps is truly outstanding from this lovely natural site amid conifers and mountain pastures. The most stunning Alpine peaks are reflected in the water mirror created by this reservoir...

At the water's edge, meditative nature lovers will be captivated by the beauty of the mountains around this structure which, from spring to autumn, is an attraction for hikers and cyclists and, in winter, a great place for skiers to take a break.

Added bonus: as intended by its designer, this work of art was created entirely with local resources and by tradespeople located within a 20km radius.

Winter access:
- from the Portes du Mont-Blanc ski slopes (compulsory passes for people using the ski lifts)
- from various ski-touring and snowshoeing itineraries (maps available at the lift-pass desks and/or the Tourist Office)
