Historic site and monument St Pierre Church of Manigod Manigod

About

Manigod (74230)

Originally, the church was a wooden building with a dirt floor. At the end of the 17th century, it was rebuilt in the baroque style that can be found on the facade with its portal.
The bulbous bell tower of the church, typical of the time, is not satisfactory, because the sound of the bells is not heard enough in all the surrounding hamlets.
Extension work on the church was carried out at the end of the 19th century. The bell tower is then rebuilt and moved.
Inside the church, you find ridge vaults and cruciform pillars.

The writings concerning her only date back to 1414, on the occasion of the pastoral visit of MGR Bertrand, Bishop of Geneva.
