Under the shadow of the mountain of the same name, Chevran's cemetery is a place of memory for everyone who took part in the history of Cluses. It is also a place of a rich artistic heritage with its carved gravestones and perpetual concessions. Guided tour are organizad and introduce you about 15 historical funereal monuments under an artistic point of view (shape, ornamentation, material) and through the life of the people they are built for. Chevran's cemetery
Chevran's cemetery was opened in 1878 following the reconstruction of the city after the terrible fire in 1844. The graves are carved in a style in vogue between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
