Chenex church

It was in 1881 that the Chenex church, in the Neo-Roman style, was built. Inside this holy place, 2 objects are listed at the national level: the tabernacle from the Pomier Charterhouse from the 17th century and the Virgin from the 18th century.

You will also discover an impressive organ, dating from 1842 and coming from the cathedral of Alger. Why such a long journey for this instrument? It was Monseigneur Duval, originally from Chênex and cardinal at Alger, who offered it to the parish in 1984. Remaining in Algeria after the independence, he is buried at Notre Dame d'Afrique (Alger)
