The chapel and its many painted decorations date from the end of the Middle Ages. These murals cover three of the four walls of the chapel and place the life of Christ in a familiar setting: objects, costumes and architecture are inspired by what was in Bessans at the time.
But these are not the only treasures in the chapel: discover also a fine collection of Baroque sculptures in brightly painted wood. And if you look up… you can also admire the exceptional carved and polychrome wooden coffered ceiling that represents a starry sky… an evocation of paradise!
