Tradition speaks of an ancient oratory built at a place called "le Poivre", located on the old salt, cheese and mountain pastures route, which links the Maurienne and Tarentaise valleys via the Vanoise pass. Chapel Notre-Dame de la Visitation
Since 1536, this chapel has also been called “Notre-Dame du Poivre”… This is something to call out. But why does the pepper come to put its grain of salt in this small baroque building?!
