It also features over a thousand antique tools, sometimes of forgotten use, wisely grouped according to the different trades. The result is a dialogue between art and tools through the ages, contributing to the magic of the place, and a playful journey for children.
From the end of June, the Musée des Granges de Servette opens for a new summer season of exhibitions and discoveries:
> Collage exhibition by Sabine Christin :
With roots in Evian, this artist has invented an original technique using glued colored paper, with contrasting mattness, transparency, thickness and radiance. Gluing, cutting, tearing, assembling and superimposing seemingly simple techniques create highly complex visual effects.
> Exhibition by David Mansot, cabanist:
Since 2015 he's been creating his dream cabins, made from recycled materials, to hang on the walls of our homes. In the process, he creates a marvelous architecture of real or fantastical places. David Mansot builds his cabins by telling himself stories, and each story naturally draws a cabin.
> Bernard Verquère painting exhibition:
This painter uses a variety of media, because the passage of time and the traces left on materials have always appealed to him. His works are fleeting memories of atmosphere and light, based on his favorite themes: architecture, still life...
And on certain summer evenings, the Granges are lit up for the Nuits de Servette shows...
