It also presents more than a thousand old tools, sometimes of forgotten use, wisely grouped according to the different trades. Thus a dialogue is established through time between art and tools, contributing to the magic of the place, a playful journey for children.
From the end of June, the Musée des Granges de Servette opens for a new summer season of exhibitions and discoveries:
> Sculpture exhibition by Walter Pettrizzo:
Zany scenes with the "Monks" characters made from chamotte clay, with raku firing. The improbable vehicles that accompany them are created from elements found at flea markets...
> Painting exhibition of Peter Stalder :
Peter lives in the Lake Geneva region, a source of inspiration for his paintings during all seasons of the year and at all times of the day. He boldly plays with light, a true thread in his work.
> Exhibition of paintings by Uraraka Matsuzawa:
Japanese painter living in Lyon, Uraraka will present her paintings at the confluence of several cultures, a reinvented dialogue between Japanese and Western sensibilities, executed in the particular technique of Nihonga.
And on certain summer evenings, the Granges are lit up for the Nuits de Servette shows...
