Le Vieux Megève, set in an ancient wooden farmhouse in the heart of the village, is now run by the Sibuet family – a recent addition to other Sibuet venues renowned for their family atmosphere, conviviality and authenticity. Here, guests will feast on generous, home cuisine in a rustic alpine setting warmed by a large fireplace. Choose from a range of traditional Savoyard specialities such as cheese fondue with porcini mushrooms, meat fondue, Pela des Aravis, Berthoud, Boîte Chaude (with melted Vacherin cheese), Raclette and onion soup. Delightful desserts include crème brûlée with Génépi, drizzled sorbets and blueberry tart in summertime. To be washed down with a choice of delicious wines from the Savoy region and to finish it’s to the sound of the accordion that the evening continues in a magical atmosphere, with resolutely Savoyard folklore!
