From Plaine-Joux, climb through the resort to Barmus on the carriageway. Continue by a flat crossing passing by the Ayères des Rocs and the Ayères d'en-Haut. When you arrive at Ayères des Pierrières, you walk along the Passy nature reserve. Home to exceptional fauna and flora in a diversity of mountain ecosystems, this area is protected and regulated. Please take care of it. Continue on the track that descends to reach the Chalets du Souay and then the Châtelet d'Ayères refuge. Descend again to the Lac Vert and then return to the starting point.
