What to see / What to know :
The site used to be an alpine pasture frequented by Montvernier breeders, and the Chalet du Mélèze served as a shelter for the shepherd who watched over the flock.

    0/ Start - From the Foyer d'accueil du Chaussy, opposite the welcome sign, go straight ahead, the route gradually climbs up the path to the Chalet du Mélèze.

    Park at the Col du Chaussy parking lot.
    From the Col du Chaussy, follow the red cross-country ski trail number 4: Bergein. The Kota is halfway along the trail. There are also several marked snowshoe trails from the Col du Chaussy.

    Parking in Bonvillard.
    From Bonvillard, follow the black cross-country ski trail number 8: Le Grand Tour. Join the red cross-country trail number 4: Bergein.

    Please note! In winter, the road between Col du Chaussy and Bonvillard (commune of Montaimont / Saint-François-Longchamp) is closed to cars.
