The Hauts de Villaroger National Nature Reserve is a national nature reserve located in Haute Tarentaise, in the Vanoise Massif. Classified in 1991, it covers an area of 1,062 ha and protects the forested areas that are lacking in the central area of the Vanoise National Park. Spread over more than 2,000 meters of vertical drop, the reserve presents a great diversity of environments. Its challenges are: to protect biodiversity, to maintain and brush off pastures, to study and monitor the evolution of protected animal species such as the black grouse, to welcome and inform the public, to propose two discovery loops equipped with 18 reading tables, and also to organize naturalistic visits to the discovery of the reserve.
