Valette Hut
This Vanoise National Park mountain hut is located right below the famous Vanoise glaciers. The starting point for climbing the Dôme de Chasseforêt, the hut welcomes mountaineers, hikers on the loop trail circumnavigating the glaciers, and families who would like to spend the night in a typical mountain hut.

Surrounding summits: Dôme de Chasseforêt (3586m) in 3hrs 30min - Dôme des Sonnailles (3361m) in 2hrs 30min.
Day hikes: starting in Pralognan from Prioux (2hrs 30 min, easy) or the Pas de l'âne (3hrs 30min). Starting from the hamlet of Les Fontanettes via the Grand Marchet (4hrs 30min). 2 beautiful lakes, ruins of from an old hut, and 360° views make this particular trail well worth the effort.
Circumnavigating the Vanoise Glaciers (a 6-day thru-hike variation).
