Head to the tourist office square to snap some festive photos of the beautiful Christmas tree and Santa’s postbox, and to Place Marghério for Santa’s stage (Avenue Olympique).
The programme for the week:
- The “Hutte des Lutins” (Elves’ Workshop): Join the elves in their workshop to make Christmas decorations before Santa arrives; Saturday 23 December, 3pm to 7pm, Place Marghério
- Santa will be arriving in Val d’Isère on Sunday 24 December, on the slopes from 10am and in the village centre from 5pm.
- Face-painting will be available on the afternoon of Sunday 24 December from 3pm. At 5pm, music will then herald the arrival of Santa and his elves, as they parade into the village centre down Avenue Olympique and onto his stage.
- The group “La 25D”, Santa’s ‘long-lost sons’ will be on hand on Monday 25 December to liven up the resort to the beat of their drums.
- The geese brass band “La fanfare des oies” will be taking to the snowy streets of Val d’Isère on Tuesday 26 December for their annual winter music parade.
- The “Fanfare Express” Christmas elves and their brass band will have you singing and bopping along to Christmas music in the village on Wednesday 27 December.
- What could be better than a “Monokini” concert to get us up and twisting on down to Christmas hits? Join the party at Santa’s stage (Avenue Olympique) from 4.30pm on Thursday 28 December.
- To round off the festive week in style, join the “Batucadance” elves on Friday 29 December for some dancing fun in the snow, to the rhythm of their percussion instruments.
