Taste Week

Programme for the week of 05 to 12 August :

Sunday
- 6pm: Welcome, information and tastings. To get your stay in Aussois off to a great start, the Tourist Office and activity providers will be on hand to welcome you. Share information and enjoy a tasting - welcome to the village resort of Aussois!

Monday
- 2pm: escape game - Le grand Buffet. A race of flavours with family and friends. Test your sense of taste and smell and escape before the timer runs out! Bookings required at the Tourist Office, one slot every 20 minutes. Last slot 3.40pm.

Tuesday
- 10am: contemplative picnic. Enjoy a moment of pleasure and relaxation during a convivial picnic, leaving from the Maison d'Aussois for a surprise destination where bread, cold meats and cheeses await you. Bookings required at the Tourist Office, €10/adult, €5/child (drinks not included).
- 4.30pm: Secret de Cuisine: making butter the old-fashioned way. Push open the door of the Musée d'Oé and come and make butter the old-fashioned way. On this occasion, the Friends of Oé will bring the churn back into service, and you'll be able to enjoy your butter simply with a piece of bread. Book in advance at the museum.

- 6pm: visit and tasting at the Oé brewery. As part of Taste Week in Aussois, the Oé brewery is offering a tour of its production site followed by a guided tasting session, to find out all the secrets behind the brewing process and the best ways to pair Oé beers. Bookings required at the Tourist Office, €5.

Wednesday
- 10am: cooking workshop - Il tiramisu. Come and learn as a family how to prepare a traditional dessert from our Italian neighbours: tiramisù! 5€

Thursday
- 10.30am: Taste-related activities
- 7pm: Discovery of Savoie cheeses and wines. Come and discover local cheeses and white wines and learn anecdotes about winegrowing in the Maurienne and the secrets of making Beaufort from Haute Maurienne Vanoise, silver medallist at the 2023 Salon de l'Agriculture.

Friday
- 6pm: Sensory tour of the church of Notre Dame de l'Assomption - Baroque in all its senses. Baroque art can't be described. It can be felt. And that's why all you have to do to fully appreciate it in the sumptuous church of Aussois is to put all your senses to work and let yourself be carried away! Book in advance at the Tourist Office. Full price: €5, Children (aged 6-12): €3, Free for children under 6.

- 8.30pm: Screening/lecture: Balade gourmande en Savoie. A gourmet lecture in images and films to tell the fascinating story of gastronomy in Savoie, followed by a tasting session. An evening hosted by a guide from the Pays d'art et d'histoire des hautes-vallées de Savoie. Book at the Tourist Office. 3€
