This collection features a broad range of examples of the expertise that makes Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes such a great region for textiles. It has been put together through a network of 31 of the region's museums, heritage institutions and craft centres, the true keepers of this savoir-faire. Silks from Lyon, lace from Le Puy-en-Velay, goldwork embroidery from Le Forez, ribbons from Saint-Etienne and stage costumes from the CNCS, all come together in a collection that lies somewhere between art, technology and industry.
