Remember that you cannot fish unless you are a member of a Ministry-accredited angling or fish farming association and have also paid the CPMA (fishing tax) in addition to your membership fee. Payment is proven by particular stamps stuck on the membership card. Holders of an angling permit stamped to show that the full fishing tax has been paid and young permit holders are entitled to fish with one rod on public waterways.

Lake Ogny
Near St-Julien, Lake Ogny is classified in a the top category. It is a hillside reservoir that is regularly stocked with rainbow trout. It is also home to carp, tench, gudgeon etc.
