Lake Chênex is a private hillside reservoir classified as first class closed water and managed as a fishing lake by the Haute-Savoir Fishing Federation, which holds the fishing leases.

This is a private manmade reservoir managed by the departemental federation of fishing. It is open throughout the year. Private regulations (fly fishing). Information and permit: Tabac Roussel, 3 route de Bellegarde, 74520 Valleiry (open Sunday mornings. Phone 04 50 04 23 15).

DAILY PERMIT, NO-KILL: 1st October to last day of February
- Catches limited to 1 per day, 25 cms minimum, with the possibility of continuing on a no-kill basis after keeping the trout
- All types of barbless fly fishing with streamer
- Regular restocking with rainbow, brown and river trout
- Anglers should note the fish they have kept on their permit, with its length, and should leave the permit in a letter box located near the lake.

    From 13/03 to 10/10, daily.
    Summer season.
    Fishing is permitted 30 mins before sunrise and 30 mins after sunset.

    From 17/10 to 12/03, daily.

    Fishing is permitted 30 mins before sunrise and 30 mins after sunset.
