Leisure Fishing at Morzine's River Dranse Saint-Jean-d'Aulps

About

Departing from Saint-Jean-d'Aulps (74430)

La Dranse river is a must for anyone wanting to try their hand at river fishing. It stretches over 21km between Morzine and Thonon-les-Bains, not counting the numerous tributaries flowing into it.
Populated with wild trout, the river river Dranse is a fishing enthusiasts’ paradise. Lake trout seek out the high water caused by the first summer storms, and they’re likely to be found in more than one deep stretch. But it’s far from easy netting one...anglers will need all their patience and craft!
Reel, weighted line fishing or fly-fishing are all allowed here...

The river Dranse is open to all fishers carrying a valid river fishing licence.

Period of practice

From 12/03 to 09/10.
