Cultural Exposition de Charlie Adam Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

About

On Wednesday 27 March 2024
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (74400)

This spring's exhibition at the Chamonix Tourist Office brings together some of his creations inspired by the Valley, but also by the centenary of the 1924 Olympic Games, its sporting events and its heroes, "resurrected" in bright colors for the occasion!
Charlie Adam is a graphic designer/illustrator who grew up in the Chamonix Valley. With his colorful style blending vintage nostalgia and humor, inspired by old cinema, advertising and tourism posters, he takes us on a playful journey to imaginary vacation memories, adding a glamour-chic touch that's not to be taken too seriously!
His visuals can be found on ski passes and on the walls of bars and hotels in the Alps.
For 25 years now, Charlie Adam has been conquering the summits of Haute-Savoie and Switzerland with his pencil stroke. Whether in the world of alpine tourism, seaside resorts, fashion or snow sports, many brands and resorts regularly call on his services, and the number of sales outlets and galleries offering his brand's various decorative objects is now multiplying well beyond the mountains.
To distribute his creations, Charlie Adam works with the publisher Bungalow Graphics, which offers a wide range of printed products via its online boutique www.bungalowgraphics.com, and whose official Chamonix retailer, the Alp Chic boutique, is located on avenue de la gare.

Main entrances are on the same level as the street. A brochure in French and English language concerning access and travel inside the Chamonix valley can be given to you at the tourist information office. It gives you information in order to know which places (accomodation, restaurants, leisure, lifts, every day facilitlies...) are accessible with wheel chairs. You can upload the brochure from our website : https://www.chamonix.com/pdf/accessibilite-fr.pdf. A lowered desk allows to give information to people in wheel chair. We also can lend a wheel chair. Adaptated toilets are to be found in the tourist office too.

    Hearing Disability

We have an Audio-T system. This system improves the quality and confidentiality of the exchanges between the information counsellor and guest. The information counsellor speaks into a microphone and his/her voice is transmitted directly to the hearing impaired person, either through a receiver-amplifier or by magnetic loop if the user has a compatible hearing aid.

    Mental Disability

Extended use of pictograms inside the Tourist Office to indicate the main activities and attractions: hiking, museums, events... These signs are very important for people who encounter difficulties in understanding written texts.

    Visual Disability

We place at your disposal a leaflet in braille for on-site reading. We also have at our welcome desk a magnifying lens and issue a brochure with bigger letters for visually impaired people. Pictogramms are to be also found on the brochure self-service support. The automatic doors are labled with bicolor tapes at 70 and 170 cm above the ground floor.
