September 1939, the Second World War broke out. After a few months of «funny war», Cluses found itself in «free zone». The consequences are many for the school: lack of staff, difficulty in refueling… Then in 1942, the free zone was abolished and the army occupied the school. Daily life was heavily impacted.
As 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of France, the Musée de l'Horlogerie et du Décolletage invites you to discover this significant period in the history of the school and its students.
