August 14 & 15 : Big traditional festival of the village of Aussois

Programme 2023 for this festival organised by all Aussois associations, volunteers and various Aussois facilities.
14th August
- From 11am: Sale of brioches and farmhouse bread in the communal oven, until the last brioche is sold (no reservations required). Sale of meal tickets for the evening (subject to availability). You can also buy glow sticks for the evening torchlight procession (€2).

- 6pm: Opening of the Aussoy associations' refreshment bar on La Place with traditional snacks (from 10pm).
Musical aperitif with the Accord'Oé group (La Place).

- 7pm: Traditional "diots-patates-cheese-dessert" meal in the village square by the Hunting Association. Last service at 8.30pm. (Bookings from Monday 7 August at Musée l'Arche d'Oé: Adults 15€; Children under 12 12€).
- 7pm: Musical entertainment with the Fanfare du Boumas - le quadrille sisteronais.

- 9.30pm: Torchlight procession. Meet in front of the church with your torches/glow sticks to accompany the fire brigade "L'Echo d'Aussois" as it marches towards the Plan Champ. Torches/light sticks for sale all day at various points in the village centre.

- 10pm: Fireworks at Plan Champ (market car park). Return to the village square with the Clique des pompiers "l'Echo d'Aussois".

- 10.15pm: DJ Set with PK events. The heart of the village is transformed into a dancefloor, with light shows, smoke, disco balls and music to get you moving!

15th August
- 9.30am: Mass in the village square, followed by a procession in traditional costume to the church.
Cakes for sale.

- From 11am: Sale of pizzas in the communal oven (no reservations necessary, until the last pizza is sold).
- 11am: Opening of the Aussoy associations' refreshment area with traditional snacks (La Place).

- 11am: Children's show by the Aussois folk group "Lo Z'Oérin" and the Quadrille Sisteronais.

- 11am to 6pm: Giant wooden games in the village streets (mazes, power 4, curling, rapido, hockey, basketball, puzzles, mini handball, tangram, mikaballe).

- 1pm - 6pm: Big fair in the heart of the village. Don't forget to buy fair tickets to take part (tickets on sale all day at various points in the village). You'll find a host of traditional and original stalls in the streets of the village centre, with lots of prizes to be won. On the programme: biathlon, tyrolean traverse, chamboule tout, wheel of fortune, envelope fishing and much more!
- 3pm: Parade of the Aussois fire brigade in Empire costume, the Compagnie des Guides, the Maurienne women in costume and the folk groups "Lo Z'oérin" and "Le Quadrille Sisteronais".

- 4pm: Performance by the folk groups "Lo Z'Oérin" and "la Fanfare du Boumas - Le Quadrille Sisteronais".

- Helicopter hoisting demonstration with the PGHM: Peloton de gendarmerie de haute montagne (High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon) specialising in delicate and dangerous operations in the high mountains (subject to availability of the PGHM team). Please follow the safety instructions on site.

Traditions: "La Victoire" firemen's pump, songs, accordion, sale of pottery on 15 August, music, festival...
