Arves pasture celebration

The tourist offices of Saint Jean d'Arves and Saint Sorlin d'Arves invite you to meet for "ALPINE PASTUREN FESTIVAL".
A privileged moment of sharing and exchange with the dairy cow breeders of Saint Jean d´Arves! Discussion about their profession, their restraint, their passion, milking, the making of Beaufort, the herd ... Mountain farming will have no more secrets for you!

Access for children to a workshop with FACIM to discover agriculture with a guide. You will be able to watch the making of a mountain tomme made by the cheese maker of the Cheese Factire of the Valley of the Arves.

And also, throughout this event: Coup’Sauc game, accordion, mascots of Saint Jean d´Arves (Arvi) and Saint Sorlin d´Arves (Sorlinette), refreshment bar.
At noon, a barbecue will be served ONLY ON PRIOR RESERVATION, limited places. Picnic from the bag possible. No tables or benches on site.

The meeting point is at the top of the chairlift Charvin Express, in St Jean d'Arves (special rate).
Meeting at 10 am on site. End of barbecue and entertainment around 2:30 p.m.
Access by hiking (between 1h15 and 1h30 walk, routes available at tourist offices) or by chairlift (lift opening 9h30). Signposted access.
