Cycling tour – The 4 Hamlets
Departure: Champagny

Route: through the mountain pastures between La Plagne and Champagny en Vanoise – home of Beaufort cheese.

From La Plagne:
Starting from the top of Plagne Villages, follow the trail to Col de la Grande Forcle. After switching to the other side of the pass the trail branches off to the right in the direction of la Chapelle du Bozelet – an ideal spot to pause for a snack and to admire the stunning views of the Vanoise glaciers. Then back under le col de la Grande Forcle by the same route. From there, it’s possible to reach Champagny by gondola, on the days when it’s open (don’t forget the fee and check the schedule – the round trip is about 7 km) or head back towards le Col de la Grande Forcle to return to La Plagne.

From Champagny:
Start from the top of the Champagny gondola (check the opening days beforehand and make sure you have the fee). From the top of the gondola, a gradual rise takes you to the Col de la Grande Forcle. From the pass, it’s possible to reach La Plagne (a 6 km round trip) or fork left towards Chapel of Bozelet and the magnificent panoramic view of le massif de la Vanoise. Return to the top of the gondola by the same route.

Extras
La Chapelle du Bozelet and its breathtaking view of the Vanoise glaciers.

Like all physical sporting activities, mountain biking can be dangerous, so take care!
