From Le Grand-Bornand Village, take the road that leads to the Bouchet Valley, and after approximately 4 km, turn left onto the road that leads to Col des Annes pass. Park at the end of the road. From here you have two options:
- Take the trail that leads to the Gramusset hut: 1 hour. From there follow the trail with markings indicating "Chombas" all the way to Chombas' eastern facing escarpment. Follow an easy ledge system (fixed rope in place where needed), and top out on an easily identifiable sub-peak. Traverse horizontally to reach the top rappel anchor (cairns, 45 min from the hut). Total approach time: 1 hour 45 minutes.
-See guidebook for second option.
