First National Park created in France in 1963 to protect Alpine ibexes, the National Park of Vanoise celebrates its 50 years. It is situated between the valleys of Tarentaise and Maurienne. No less than 1800 ibexes, 4000 chamoises and 120 species of birds can be found here as well as an exceptional native flora.
