Alps Accommodation - La Cabine

Cosy cabin style accommodation that meets modern and luxury. La Cabine is a newly renovated detached chalet superbly located in a quiet location 4 minutes’ walk from the centre of Samoëns and 50m from the ski bus stop. This is a totally unique and cute Mazot style chalet beautifully furnished with comfort in mind. Couples or small families can "cocoon" here and be truly relaxed on holiday. Covering a cosy 34m² (including the bathroom and 2nd bedroom with reduced head height), the layout ensures that all your holiday needs are met and the choice of luxurious furnishings and soft textures, ensure that every part of La Cabine can be enjoyed to the maximum. Guests can enjoy features such as the log burner and the large gardens surrounding all sides of the property, making this the perfect accommodation choice at all times of the year.

The two bedrooms are located next to each other on the upper level. Each have been beautifully furnished and come complete with crisp white bed linen, furry throws and soft carpets. They offer views across to the Grand Massif valley and ski area, plus at many times of the year, a waterfall can be seen in the distance.

La Cabine offers a fabulous master king bedroom furnished with locally crafted wooden cabinets, a small built in hanging area and large under-bed drawers. The navy soft throw and velvet cushions add that extra bit of luxury. From the deep and comfy bed, you can glance across to the alpine views via the original arched shutter.


There is a bright and fresh family bathroom on the lower level complete with a large 1m long shower, a vanity unit with sink and drawers, a WC, and a heated towel rail. A variety of miniature Molton Brown toiletries are also provided.

La Cabine has a unique "chocolate box" exterior and is totally detached with large gardens which makes it quite unique in Samoëns village. Situated in a small cluster of chalets at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and having a flat and enclosed gardens surround each side of the chalet, it's a perfect place to enjoy sunshine throughout the entire day. The wonderful backdrop to La Cabine, is Samoëns’ famous Criou mountain, and to the front, you can see the Grand Massif ski domain and mountain area and a stunning waterfall in the distance. A BBQ and outside table are also provided and the garden is enclosed with a gate, making in an ideal choice for young children.

A heated secure storage area is situated at the back of the chalet and is large enough for skis and boots. It also contains a combination washing/dryer. A further outdoor cupboard is also available and can house prams or further equipment. The chalet also offers an off street parking space and further parking near.

La Cabine is located in a scenic and quiet location just 350m from the village centre of Samoëns where guests will find a fantastic selection of bars, restaurants, cafes, local shops, butchers and a bustling weekly market.

Throughout the ski season, a free and regular bus service is available just 50m from the chalet and gives access to the Grand Massif Express lift which links into the wider Grand Massif network. Alternatively, the same telecabine can be reached by a scenic 12 minutes riverside walk. Our recommended ski/snowboard equipment hire shop offer ski lockers on the slopes (subject to availability) allowing equipment to be stored at the top of the telecabine, and freeing guests up to stroll the historic streets, or enjoy one or two après-ski drink! Located in central Samoëns, the new ice rink is a firm family favourite and is only 8-10 minutes away.

The spring, summer and autumn offer an endless list of fun activities, both action packed and relaxing! La Cabine boasts many hiking possibilities from the property with gentle riverside strolls commencing on the Clevieux river just 30m away and leading both up and down stream of the Giffre river to Sixt and Morillon respectively. For the more adventurous, the Criou mountain, behind the chalet offers a more demanding challenge. The Grand Massif Express, open July and August, offers access to some wonderful mountain bike trails, while road bikers can join the famous Col de Joux Plane climb just meters from the property.

Take a 10 minutes drive to the end of the valley, and arrive in the truly stunning Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval where up to 30 dramatic waterfalls tumble from hanging glaciers to form the Giffre river which later passes through Samoëns. The surrounding national park offers a wealth of adventure for all interests, and abilities.
