The Moede-Anterne refuge hut is located at 2000 m above sea level, facing the Mont Blanc and set amidst meadows at the heart of the Fiz mountain range.
This old chalet, built in 1898, was originally used as a base to hunt chamois.

Mountain Refuge Hut: Moëde-Anterne
This comfortable retreat in situated at the heart of the Nature Reserve in Passy, near the lakes of Pormenaz and Anterne. The refuge offers panoramic view over the Fiz and Mont Blanc mountain ranges. Marmots are often sighted here.

Access authorized by 4x4 (time restrictions).
Track from Passy (Chalet Châtelet): 1 1/2 hours.
From the top of Brévent (Chamonix), descend 1000 m to the bridge of Arlevé via the Col du Brévant. then climb up through the mountain pastures about 500m to the refuge: 3 1/2 hours. Access also possible on horseback, with a pack donkey, by MTB, on snow-shoes or ski touring skis. Dogs are allowed on the 4x4 path.
Coach parking available at Plaine-Joux.
