Admire the traditional snow-covered chalets in the hamlets of Albertans and Ardent: in the past, they were only occupied during the summer months. There are also superb views of the cliffs along the way.

    The trail is only sunny from mid-February onwards

    1/ Leave from the car park at the entrance to the hamlet of Albertans
    2/ Cross the bridge and continue straight on until you reach the start of the path
    3/ Take the path on the left
    4/ Stay on the path as far as the Ardent waterfall

    - All routes are taken at the hiker's own risk, as they are not supervised.
    - Choose your route according to your physical condition and the weather conditions.
    - Check the weather forecast (posted daily in the Tourist Offices or in Chamonix) and remember to bring warm, waterproof clothing. Mountain weather changes very quickly.
    - Follow the signposting instructions.
