On the Vuache Nature Trail, which goes through the villages of Jonzier-Epagny, Chênex, Dingy-en-Vuache and Savigny, you become a Nature Detective, on the lookout for words hidden on the panels along the path (designed by children).
There are two Environmental Detective leaflets, each in the form of a questions / answers game. All the solutions can be found on the 15 information boards along the path, designed for budding naturalists between the ages of 8 and 10 and over 10's accompanied by their parents. The leaflets also contain crosswords, jumbled words, animals to colour in or draw and information about the flora, fauna, environment etc. The path is signposted along its entire length and has picnic tables, drinking water and a botanical trail displaying some thirty varieties of plant. Part of the trail is accessible to people with reduced mobility (Cf. the Morennes path).
There are two versions of the trail taking 3 hrs (7.5 km) or 4 hrs (9.5 km) to complete.
A leaflet is available on request from the Syndicat intercommunal d’Aménagement du Vuache (SIAV). The leaflets (free in 2010) can also be downloaded from the SIAV website.
