From the Lavoir (washhouse) car park, take the GR5 hiking trail until you reach the fork at Lauze dam, and go left. Cross the Replanette Pass (a virgin statue and 3 chalets) and continue to the Vallée Etroite Pass, then go right to reach the Thabor refuge. The next day, to get to Mount Thabor, backtrack to go over the Vallée Etroite Pass to the other side of the mountain, staying on the highest path on the right, towards Peyron Lake, Méandes Pass, the Calvary and the Chapel.
It is essential to have an Ordnance Survey (IGN) map to follow the itinerary to the top of Mount Thabor.
