Take the path to the right of the car park. After a short climb, it levels out and takes you to the Plan du Lac refuge (overnight accommodation and meals). Walk along the banks of the Plan du Lac fishing lake, then take the path leading down to St Barthélémy Chapel. Continue downhill (the path become steeper) in the same direction until you eventually cross the bridge and go uphill again on a track which leads to the Entre-Deux-Eaux refuge (overnight accommodation and meals).
It is possible to get to Entre-Deux-Eaux and back by shuttle bus. The path up to the Vanoise Pass takes 2 hours and 15 minutes from the refuge.
