(1) At the exit of the leisure center Rivier’Alp, take left. In the village of Entre-Deux-Guiers, turn left on the B-road D520c, towards St-Christophe-sur-Guiers.
(2) Stay on the road D520c, cross the village of St-Christophe-sur-Guiers and follow the direction of St-Pierre-d’Entremont.
(3) After Berland, the way up to St-Pierre-d’Entremont begins. Without major difficulty, the road goes along the Guiers Vif river on several kilometers. The Pas du Frou, a rather impressive corbel arch passage, offers a beautiful view on the surrounding mountains.
(4) In St-Pierre-d’Entremont, in front of the tourist office, turn left towards Entremont-le-Vieux. The way up to Entremont-le-Vieux, along the narrow gorges of the Cozon river, is a bit more difficult.
(5) In Entremont-le-Vieux, take left on the B-road D45 to Le Désert d’Entremont. The way up is steeper, with a significant elevation gain (6 to 8%, up to a more sustained 12%). A splendid panorama at the col de la Cluse will reward the effort, you could even glimpse the Mont Blanc!
(6) Start the way down to Corbel. There, the setting is breathtaking, with a view on the high Chartreuse and the Gorges du Frou.
(7) The last ascent will allow you to reach the col des Egaux after about 3 km. Stay on the B-road D45 to go down to St-Jean-de-Couz.
(8) At the junction with the B-road D1006, take left to Les Echelles. Be careful, you will have to cross a tunnel, which is not lit, and where the traffic can be heavy.

Circuit des Entremonts
An ascent in the heart of the Chartreuse, along the gorges of the Guiers vif river, through the impressive Pas du Frou. Then, the route winds through the gorges of the Cozon river, and finally culminates at the col de la Cluse, with an unobstructed view on the mount Granier.
