Tour aux Verneys par le Pont du Diable - Trail itinerary

An easy trail with pretty forest passages, a suspension bridge and a few climbs. At Les Verneys, admire the straw and hay sculptures before taking the fitness trail along the river and up to the St Pierre chapel.

    Start - From the tourist office, head up Rue des Grandes Alpes towards the hamlet of Les Verneys 1 - Once over the bridge, cross the D902 at Chapelle Saint Bernard to take the path towards the "La forêt de l'Enfer" accrobranche park. 2 - Continue uphill to reach Pont du Diable. 3 - Continue along the path winding through the forest to the top of the Serroz hamlet. Continue up to Pré Vessin. 4 - Start the descent along the path to the footbridge crossing the Benoît stream and the hamlet of Les Verneys. 5 - Continue down the small asphalt road, arriving in front of the Boulangerie des Verneys. 6 - Cross the D902 over the bridge and turn left to take the footpath below. 7 - In front of the riding school, take the 4x4 track up to Chapelle Saint Pierre. 8 - Return to Valloire along the footpath. You'll arrive at the Pré du Praz.

    - Keep in mind that you are riding in mountain areas with sometimes technical trails, significant elevation where weather conditions can change quickly.

In your rucksack, carry a water bottle and snacks to keep your energy levels up, a survival blanket or warm clothing. Protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen and sunglasses. Don't forget binoculars to add a touch of observation to your adventure.
